Cafe Feature: Dak Han Specialty Coffee

Tucked upstairs on the busy street of SS2 Petaling Jaya is Dak Han Specialty Coffee. In Cantonese, “Dak Han” means having free time, a name that feels fitting for a café made for unhurried visits.

Founded by Alvin, who has a strong interest in interior design, Dak Han is a space where each corner carries its own character. From the seating areas to the smaller decorative details, the café feels personal, warm, and lived-in without trying too hard.

Behind the bar, Dak Han runs on the Rocket Boxer Tank Espresso Machine, paired with the Mahlkönig Home X54 Allround Home Grinder. Together, they form a compact and practical setup that supports the café’s daily coffee service while fitting naturally into the space.

Alongside coffee, Dak Han also serves a selection of pastries, including croissants, canelés, strawberry danish and many more.

It is a simple but thoughtful setup: good coffee, a space with personality, and something small to enjoy on the side. Whether you are there for a quick cup or spending a little more time upstairs, Dak Han offers a quiet contrast to the busier pace of SS2 below.
