La Marzocco Driver's Lounge at Luftwasser 2026

It was our second time at LuftWasser, and this time we wanted to create a space that could bring La Marzocco and Porsche together naturally. On the surface, one is a coffee brand and the other a car brand, but both share a strong appreciation for heritage, design and identity.

La Marzocco Driver's Lounge at LuftWasser

For many petrolheads, coffee is already part of the routine, whether it’s before a drive, after one, or simply while spending time around the car. We wanted to build on that idea and show how a La Marzocco can feel just as at home in the garage as it does in the kitchen. That was how the La Marzocco Driver’s Lounge came about, a space to sit back, have a coffee and spend a little more time around the things you enjoy.

We also had the opportunity to work with Hwa, who has been a Porsche enthusiast since he was young. Valhalla started a few years ago, not really as a business, but simply from Hwa helping a friend work on an old Porsche. Over time, that grew into restoring and bringing more of these cars back to life. For LuftWasser, he kindly lent us a few pieces from his personal Porsche collection, gathered over the years, which helped give the garage a lot more character.

Around the space, we placed a selection of La Marzocco machines and grinders for visitors to see up close, get hands-on with, and experience through the coffee we were serving throughout the day. Rather than putting everything on a typical product display, we wanted the machines to feel like they naturally belonged in the garage.

One of the highlights of the day was hosting Kai Hartmann, author of My First 911, for a mid-day Coffee Talk at the garage. Kai shared some of the photography from the book and invited a few of the people featured in it to join the conversation too.

We also had a fun little game running throughout the day. The idea was simple: stop the timer at exactly 9.11 seconds, and if you got it right, there was a little gift waiting for you.

It was a sunny and sweaty Saturday but we were glad we did this. Thank you to everyone who dropped by and spent some time with us at the garage. Until next time!
