The machine comes with an updated design, including new outward-extending feet for better stability. The communication pod is now magnetic and positioned at eye level, making it easier to view and adjust the machine's settings.
Rocket has also introduced new push-and-turn knobs for steam and purging, along with a faster heat-up time, making the machine more convenient for everyday use.
What is TUNE Technology and how does it work?
One of the biggest additions to the R58 TUNE is its new TUNE Technology.
Instead of having the same pressure throughout the entire extraction, TUNE allows users to adjust the pressure at the beginning and towards the end of a shot, while the middle runs at full pressure.
This means you can start with a gentler pre-infusion before moving into full extraction pressure, then ease off towards the end. It gives you another way to experiment with different coffees and extraction profiles.
You can also save up to two custom profiles, so you can easily return to your preferred settings without having to make the same adjustments every time.
